PRIMERA DIAPOSITIVA
U2 was founded on 25 September 1976 in Mullen's kitchen in Artane, Larry Mullen posted a note on the school´s notice board in search of musicians. At first, they were six but two of them left the group.
The actual members are:

TERCERA DIAPOSITIVA
Paul David Hewson (born 10 May 1960), known by his stage name Bono  is an Irish singer-songwriter, he writes almost all U2 lyrics.Outside the band, he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize


CUARTA DIAPOSITIVA
David Howell Evans (born 8 August 1961), more widely known by his stage name The Edge. In 2003 Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at the place 24th of his list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time.


QUINTA DIAPOSITIVA
Laurence Joseph "Larry" Mullen, Junior. (born 31 October 1961) is an Irish musician and the drummer for the Irish rock band U2. He is the founder of U2.

SEXTA DIAPOSITIVA
Adam Charles Clayton (born 13 March 1960) is an English musician best known as the bassist of the rock band U2.

SEPTIMA DIAPOSITIVA
The first name of the group was "Feedback" but in  March 1977, the band changed their name to "The Hype" but finally they decided to call it "U2"
Their first album was called three and their first tour was Boy Tour.

NOVENA DIAPOSITIVA
U2 has won numerous awards in their career, including 22 Grammy awards, including those for Best Rock Duo or Group seven times, Album of the Year twice, Record of the Year twice, Song of the Year twice, and Best Rock Album twice.

DECIMA DIAPOSITIVA
 Billboard magazine cites its own sources in reporting that U2's album won't be out until 2015, and a planned tour is also pushed back until then, too.

During a pre-Oscars interview, Bono tells his old friend, Amanda Brunker, that U2 is working on two albums.

While much had changed, important things remained the same: U2 comprises the same four musicians, still holding fast to principles and making inspirational music more than 30 years after their humble beginnings in a Dublin high school.
